Variegated Monstera - Swiss Cheese plant

The hightly sought after varigated version of a true classic of a houseplant due to its extremely tolerant nature. This Tropical staple of a plant is native to Central and South America, where you can find it growing massive up anything it can get its ariel roots on! 

Plant Care 

Light: Bright indirect light, too much sun, and you risk scorching the leaves; not enough and your plant will grow leggy in search of more light. 

Watering: Give your plant a good soak when the soil starts to dry out (but don't let it dry out completely. Think moist and not wet). Reduce your watering routine in winter as it won't need as much due to shorter days. 

Temperature: 18-29°C These plants prefer things on the warmer side, BUT in our personal experience, we have seen them tolerate a bit colder for short periods.

Potting: These plants like to be a bit root bound, so don't increase your pot size too quickly! For the perfect soil, try our Airy Ariod mix, Or these plants absolutely thrive in Leca if you don't want to fuss too much with watering.. don't forget the fertiliser if you decide to go the Lazy Leca route! 

Hot tips: If your monster becomes unruly, give it a moss pole to climb, and your plant will thank you.
