Plant Care
Light: A splash of morning or evening sun is ideal. Avoid more than two hours of harsh midday sun in summer. Too dark? Expect leaf drop. East or west-facing windows are perfect, or a bright spot within 2m of a south-facing one.
Watering: Let the top layer of soil dry out between waterings. Deep soak, then dry. Go lighter in winter.
Temperature: Likes it warm in summer (18–24°C), but needs a cool-down to around 15°C in autumn/winter to help trigger blooms. A little daily temp fluctuation is ideal.
Potting: Needs excellent drainage. Our Sandy Loam mix is perfect for keeping the roots healthy and happy.
Hot tips: Blooms best after a cool, bright winter rest. Keep slightly pot-bound to encourage flowering. Deadhead spent flowers and use a tomato feed when buds appear. Pet friendly and pollinator friendly!
