A true statement aroid, Anthurium vittarifolium is all about length and movement. Its long, narrow, pendant leaves can grow impressively large, cascading down in deep green ribbons that create a dramatic, sculptural effect.
Unlike more compact Anthuriums, this is a plant that wants space to hang and mature. As it grows, the leaves become longer and more fluid, giving it that sought-after, specimen-level presence that collectors love.
Plant Care
Light: Bright indirect light is ideal, though this plant can handle lower light levels. Be sure that direct sunlight is not hitting the leaves.
Watering:Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Little and often is ideal for this plant. so during summer months, about twice a week with half a cup of water, and in winter once a week with half a cup should do the trick.
Temperature:20 to 30°C is ideal.
Potting:A well-draining chunky mix is ideal. Our Airy Aroid mix is a great choice.
Hot tips: Best displayed high up or in a hanging position to allow the leaves to cascade naturally. Stable humidity will help prevent leaf damage and support longer, more dramatic growth.
Pet Friendly: No
