Burrageara Orchid ‘Nelly Isler’

Burrageara ‘Nelly Isler’ is a show-stopping orchid hybrid with large, velvety blooms in rich crimson to deep cherry red, each petal often brushed with subtle hints of pink or burgundy. Known for its strong, sweet fragrance and long-lasting flowers, this orchid can bloom several times a year under the right conditions, bringing tropical elegance indoors. Its Oncidium alliance heritage means it’s both stunning and relatively forgiving, making it a favourite among orchid collectors and beginners alike.

Plant Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the top layer of medium to dry slightly before watering again. Do not let the plant sit in water.
Temperature: Prefers 16–24°C. Protect from cold draughts and keep above 13°C.
Potting: Use a fine to medium-grade orchid bark mix for excellent drainage and airflow to roots.
Hot tips: Remove spent flower spikes to encourage new growth. Feed with an orchid fertiliser during active growth. With good care, ‘Nelly Isler’ can reward you with repeat blooms year-round.
