Calathea ‘White Fusion’ is a striking, highly variegated prayer plant with marbled leaves in soft white, pale green, and silvery tones, finished with lilac-purple undersides. Each leaf carries a unique pattern, giving the plant an almost painted appearance. Compact but full, this calathea is grown entirely for its foliage and is a standout among variegated houseplants.
Like other calatheas, ‘White Fusion’ moves gently throughout the day, raising and lowering its leaves in response to light. Its combination of colour, texture, and movement makes it a favourite for collectors of patterned and variegated indoor plants.
Plant Care
Light:They like bright indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions.
Watering: They like their soil moist all the time but don't overwater either. You will know when it's time for a drink as their leaves will begin to curl. The leaves will also curl if you overwater, so it's good to check the soil before you give it a drink. This plant will not do well with tap water, so if possible, rainwater or filtered water is only for these drama queens.
Temperature:18-25°C is ideal. Avoid cold drafts or sudden temperature changes
Potting: These plants like a well-draining moisture retaining mix. OurThirst Trapmix is an excellent choice for this plant.
Hot tips:Humidity is key for these plants, but misting can cause issues with their delicate leaves as they aren't keen on having water sit on them for too long. Best to use a pebble tray or place them amongst lots of plant friends.
