You will receive a similar plant to the one photographed and not necessarily the same. If you would like a photo of the exact plant we are sending, just drop us a line! Pots and plants are sold separately unless otherwise specified in the listing.
Cereus peruvianus ‘Monstrosus’ is a striking columnar cactus with tall, ribbed blue-green stems that make a bold architectural statement indoors. Often called the Monstrose Blooming Cactus, mature plants can produce enormous white flowers that open after dark and last only through the night, filling the air with fragrance. A true collector’s plant, it thrives on neglect and brings sculptural desert beauty into your home.
Plant Care Light: Full sun is best. This cactus loves heat and direct light—outdoors in summer or in a sunny south-facing window indoors.
Watering: Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. In winter, water very sparingly or not at all. Overwatering is its biggest enemy.
Temperature: Thrives in 20–30°C. Can tolerate cooler temps down to around 5°C if kept dry, but it’s not frost-hardy—bring indoors before freezing.
Potting: Our Savvy Succa mix is ideal—gritty, fast-draining, and designed for drought-tolerant roots.
Hot tips: Grows slowly but steadily with the right light. May bloom with large white flowers once mature—usually at night! Handle with care—spines are sharp and stems are delicate.
Pet Friendly: No
