Delosperma Echinatum - Pickle Plant
Delosperma echinatum, known as the Pickle Plant, is a quirky succulent with fuzzy, pickle-shaped leaves that feel like little spiny clouds. It’s a drought-tolerant charmer with soft green texture and serious novelty value. Great for windowsills, succulent bowls, or anywhere you need a little weird-and-wonderful energy.
Plant Care
Light:
Loves bright direct to bright indirect light. A sunny windowsill is perfect — it’ll stretch and lose its shape if light is too low.
Watering:
Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. In winter, cut back even further — the Pickle Plant likes its soil as dry as its humour.
Temperature:
Thrives in 18–26°C. Keep above 10°C, especially in winter.
Potting:
Best in our Savvy Succa mix — super free-draining and ideal for succulents that hate soggy roots.
Hot tips:
Its fuzzy leaves may look touchable, but go easy — too much handling can damage the fine hairs. Occasionally produces dainty yellow flowers when happy!
