You will receive a similar plant to the one photographed and not necessarily the same. If you would like a photo of the exact plant we are sending, just drop us a line! Pots and plants are sold separately unless otherwise specified in the listing.
Dendrobium Berry Oda is a compact, fragrant orchid hybrid loved for its masses of vibrant pink-purple blooms and sweet scent. Unlike many orchids, this one flowers along upright cane-like stems and can bloom multiple times a year when happy. Its dense clusters of flowers and slightly wild growth habit make it feel a little more unusual and tropical than the classic Phalaenopsis. A great option for bright kitchens, bathrooms, or anyone wanting an easier flowering orchid with loads of character.
Plant Care
Light Bright indirect light is best. A few hours of gentle morning or late afternoon sun is usually fine and helps encourage flowering.
Watering Water once the potting mix is nearly dry. Dendrobiums prefer to dry slightly between waterings but shouldn’t stay bone dry for long periods.
Temperature Prefers average indoor temperatures between 16–26°C. Avoid cold draughts and sudden temperature drops.
Potting Best kept in a chunky orchid bark mix with plenty of airflow around the roots. Avoid regular houseplant composts.
Hot tips Older canes may rebloom, so don’t cut them off unless they are completely brown and dry. Slightly cooler nights in autumn can help trigger flowering.
Pet Friendly Generally considered non-toxic to pets.
