A classic trailing ivy with small, densely packed leaves and a graceful cascading habit. Hedera helix ‘Lingsuta’ is compact and charming in hanging pots or shelves, offering a touch of woodland texture indoors.
While technically hardy and more at home outside, this ivy can adapt to indoor life with the right care—think cool rooms, fresh air, and bright light (but no scorching sun). Best for those who like a bit of a challenge or have a shady hallway in need of greenery.
Plant Care
Light: Bright indirect light is best—can handle some direct morning sun. Will struggle in low light or stuffy rooms.
Watering: Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch feels dry. Avoid letting it completely dry out or sit in water.
Temperature: Prefers cooler rooms between 10–20°C. Doesn’t love dry central heating—watch for crispy leaves in winter.
Potting: Use our Thirst Trap mix with added grit or bark to keep roots happy and prevent rot.
Hot tips: Good airflow is key—don’t crowd it in. Prune regularly to shape and encourage bushier growth. Spider mites can be an issue—wipe leaves and check under them regularly.
