Hoya Linearis
Hoya linearis, also called the Trailing Porcelain Flower, is a dreamy, curtain-like Hoya with soft, needle-like foliage that cascades elegantly from its pot. Unlike its waxy-leafed cousins, this Hoya feels almost feather-light and ethereal. When mature, it produces clusters of sweetly scented white star-shaped flowers, making it a favourite among collectors and plant lovers who want something a little different.
Plant Care
Light: Likes bright indirect light. Don't try for low-light conditions with this one. Can handle some sun.
Watering: Let the top 2/3 of your plant pot dry out in between waterings. Hot tip: if you soak the foliage when watering it, it will encourage blooming.
Temperature: 18-24°C These plants prefer things on the warmer side, but don't let them get below 10°C
Potting: These plants like a well-draining mix. Our Airy Aroid mix does the trick, although it's best to resist repotting too often, as this plant likes to be a bit snug in its pot.
Hot tips: Humidity is key for hoyas, a bright bathroom would be ideal! This plant is a light feeder, so don't go crazy with the fertiliser.
Pet Friendly: YES, but the sap can be a mild skin irritant.
