Bright, festive, and full of personality – Solanum pseudocapsicum (often called Winter Cherry) brings a splash of orange-red cheer to your indoor plant displays. Its glossy green leaves and clusters of berry-like fruits look like miniature Christmas baubles, adding a cosy seasonal touch to windowsills and tables. Easy to grow and wonderfully ornamental, it’s a classic winter favourite that thrives indoors through the cooler months.

Light: Enjoys bright, indirect light – a sunny windowsill is perfect.
Watering: Keep soil evenly moist; don’t let it dry out completely. Reduce watering slightly in winter.
Temperature: Prefers cool indoor temperatures around 16–20°C. Avoid placing near heat sources.
Potting: Use our Savvy Succa mix for free-draining soil and repot annually in spring.
Hot Tips: The berries are for decoration only – not safe for pets or children if ingested.
