Position: full sun to light shade, in fertile, well-drained soil – best trained against a warm, sheltered wall
Hardiness: tender evergreen perennial in the UK (hardy down to around -2°C); may survive mild winters in sheltered spots, otherwise overwinter indoors or under cover
Hot Tips: support with trellis or wires and tie in new growth. Prune to shape after flowering or in early spring. Water regularly in summer and mulch roots for added winter protection. A fast, elegant climber loved for long flowering.
