Description

One of the most coveted Monstera cultivars around, Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' is a true collector's plant. While young leaves start off fairly simple, each new leaf becomes more dramatic as the plant matures, developing the long, deeply divided lobes that give this stunning Monstera its signature flame-like silhouette. Give it something to climb and plenty of bright light, and it will reward you with some of the most spectacular foliage in the aroid world.

Plant Care

Light: Loves bright, indirect light. A few hours of gentle morning or late afternoon sun is fine, but avoid harsh midday sunshine which can scorch the leaves.

Watering: Water once the top few centimetres of the compost have dried out. It prefers to dry slightly between waterings but shouldn't be left bone dry for long.

Humidity: Happiest in moderate to high humidity (around 60%+), although it will adapt well to average household conditions.

Temperature: Keep between 18–28°C. Protect from cold draughts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.

Potting: These plants like to be a bit root bound, so don't increase your pot size too quickly! For the perfect soil, try our Airy Ariod mix.

Hot tips: This is a climbing Monstera and will thrive when grown up a moss pole or plank. The iconic flame-shaped leaves only appear as the plant matures, so patience is definitely rewarded. New leaves often emerge with a bronze tint before hardening off to rich green
