Description

Saxifraga ‘Marto’ (UK Grown) is a compact alpine perennial that produces masses of delicate star-shaped flowers above tidy cushions of bright green foliage. Blooming in early spring, it brings a cheerful burst of colour to rock gardens, borders, and containers just as the garden begins to wake up.

Plant Care
Position: full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil – perfect for rockeries, alpine beds, borders, and containers

Hardiness: fully hardy evergreen perennial in the UK (down to around -20°C)

Hot Tips: saxifraga prefers cool, free-draining soil and can struggle in hot or waterlogged conditions. Trim off spent flowers to keep plants tidy and divide clumps every few years to refresh growth. Ideal for filling small spaces between stones or edging paths.
