Philodendron spiritus-sancti

One of the most sought-after aroids in the world, Philodendron spiritus-sancti is prized for its long, narrow, pendant leaves that create a striking, architectural silhouette. Mature plants develop dramatically elongated foliage, giving it a distinct, almost sculptural presence that sets it apart from other Philodendrons.

Once considered exceptionally rare due to its limited natural habitat in Brazil, it has become more available through cultivation—but it remains firmly in collector territory, especially in larger or well-established forms.

This is not about bold variegation or colour—it’s about form, proportion, and presence.

Plant Care 

Light: Bright indirect light, but can tolerate lower light if you are ok with a slower-growing plant. 

Watering: Water when the top inch is dry to the touch. Underwatering is better than overwatering with this plant.  

Temperature: 18-27°C and can go as chilly as 13°C for a short period.

Potting: Well-draining, nutrient-rich soil is best for this plant. Our Airy Aroid mix is a perfect fit for this beauty.
