Description

Add a touch of the tropics to your home with Rhaphidophora tetrasperma, commonly known as the Mini Monstera. Despite its nickname, this fast-growing climbing plant is not a true Monstera, but it shares the same iconic fenestrated foliage that has made jungle-inspired interiors so popular. Its glossy green leaves develop distinctive splits as the plant matures, creating a lush, architectural look that's perfect for shelves, moss poles and hanging displays. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma thrives in bright, indirect light and appreciates a well-draining potting mix such as our The Airy Aroid blend. Given support to climb, it will reward you with larger leaves and vigorous growth, making it an excellent choice for both new and experienced plant parents.

Plant Care 

Light: Bright indirect light, too much sun, and you risk scorching the leaves; not enough and your plant will grow slower and leggy in search of more light. 

Watering: Give your plant a good soak when the soil starts to dry out (but don't let it dry out completely. Think moist and not wet). Reduce your watering routine in winter as it won't need as much due to shorter days. 

Temperature: 18-29°C is ideal, but it will tolerate down to 10 °C before it gives up. 

Potting: These plants like to be a bit root bound, so don't increase your pot size too quickly! For the perfect soil, try our Airy Ariod mix.

Hot tips: These tend to be hungry plants during the growing season (spring/summer so don't skimp on the plant food. You can train this plant to climb, or it is lovely in a hanging basket.
